Privacy Policy
HitRally Mini · Last updated: October 18, 2026
This policy applies to the “HitRally Mini” apps for iOS and Android.
In short
- No account, no login, no server. The app has no online features and sends no data to us.
- Your progress stays on your device. We have no access to it.
- No ads, no tracking, no analytics services, no cookies.
- Purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We never receive payment details.
- An export only leaves your device if you share it yourself.

We are not legally required to appoint a data protection officer. Please send privacy questions to the email address above.
2. What is stored on your device
The app stores its game progress on your device only. It is kept in the app’s storage and also as a backup file in the app’s data area, so nothing is lost if the system clears its cache. The following is stored:
- Progress: best times per track, the ghost of your best runs (racing line), every time you have driven (attempts, recent times, best-time history), medals, points, tutorial status,
- Shop: earned and purchased items, your equipped items,
- Settings: language, steering mode and sensitivity, sound, music, graphics, vibration, camera, ghost display,
- Purchases (cache): product, the store’s transaction ID, purchase date, so purchased items also work offline.
This data never leaves your device through us. We can neither see nor retrieve it. Only you decide on one exception: your operating system’s backup (e.g. iCloud backup or Google backup), if you have turned it on. Apple’s or Google’s terms apply to it.
Motion sensor: when you use “Tilt” steering or try it in the test area of the settings, the app reads your device’s orientation. It does so through the standard interface of the built-in browser view or, if that delivers no values, directly from the operating system. The values are used only for steering in the moment and are never stored or sent. Your related settings (sensitivity, direction, centre) are stored on the device like all other settings.
3. No online features
The app has no leaderboards, no usernames, no friends and no accounts. It does not connect to our servers or to any third-party server by itself; fonts, graphics, music and all tracks ship inside the app. The Android app does not even request the permission to access the internet. The app consists of the game and a slim app shell of our own; it contains no third-party software libraries (SDKs) except the respective store’s purchase interface (Apple’s StoreKit or the Google Play Billing Library) and, on Android, standard libraries (AndroidX, Kotlin runtime); none of them is used for advertising or analytics. Connections only happen in these cases, and none of them go to us:
- Store: for prices, purchases and “Restore Purchases” the app talks to the App Store or to the Google Play app on your device; the store, not our app, makes the connection to the internet (section 4).
- Link to “HitRally: Time Attack”: if you tap this note once it contains a link, the store page or website opens in the App Store, Google Play or your device’s browser. Their terms apply.
4. Purchases
You buy special items and track packs through Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Payment, invoices and refunds are handled there. We receive no payment details, no name and no email address.
- The store tells the app on your device which product was bought (with a transaction ID and date). The app checks the purchase with the store’s own means on the device and unlocks the item or pack. There is no server of ours that verifies or stores receipts.
- “Restore Purchases” asks the store directly. If the store refunds a purchase, the app only removes what was bought.
- For accounting, Apple and Google provide us with sales reports (e.g. product, date, price, country and, depending on the store, region or postal code and order number). They contain no payment details. We use them only for bookkeeping and taxes (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) and keep them as long as tax and commercial law require.
Apple and Google are responsible for processing purchases; their privacy policies apply.
5. Exporting data, sharing clips
- Export: under “Data” → “Export” the app creates a JSON file with your game progress only when you ask for it (section 2, including the purchase cache and clip settings). Your device’s share sheet decides where it goes (e.g. “Save to Files” or an email to yourself). The terms of the app or service you pick there apply. We do not receive the file unless you send it to us.
- Clips: short videos of your best run are created on the device. They are shared only if you use the share sheet yourself.
6. No tracking
- no ads and no advertising identifiers (IDFA/Advertising ID), no App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is nothing to track,
- no third-party analytics, crash reporting or marketing services, no cookies, no profiling.
Apple and Google may offer to send crash and usage statistics to them and to app developers. You control this in your device settings; we only receive aggregated figures that cannot be linked to you.
7. Support requests
If you email us, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer it (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). We delete the message once the request is closed unless the law requires us to keep it.
8. Retention and deletion
- Data on your device stays until you delete it: in the game under Menu → “Data” → “Reset” (deletes progress, points, items bought with points and the tutorial status; settings and store purchases stay) or by deleting the app.
- Purchases remain on record with Apple or Google and can be restored after a reinstall with “Restore Purchases”.
- Support emails and sales reports: as described in sections 4 and 7.
There is no account that would need to be deleted.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21). These rights concern the little data we actually hold (support requests, sales reports). You manage your game progress yourself: export and reset are in the game under “Data”.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (Art. 77), for example the authority responsible for us: The State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg (Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg), Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany, www.baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de.
10. Children
HitRally Mini has no ads, no chat, no accounts and no way to contact other players; the app collects no personal data. Purchases are only possible through the store. Parents can limit them or require approval in the device or store settings (e.g. “Ask to Buy” in Apple Family Sharing, purchase approvals in a Google family group).
11. Security
Because the app sends no data to us, we hold no game data that could be lost or leaked. Your game progress is kept in the app’s protected storage area on your device.
12. Changes
We update this policy when the app or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version; we announce material changes in the app or in the release notes. Should the app ever get online features, this policy will say so first.
